The Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Technology is a three-year program (PQF Level 5) designed to prepare students for supervisory and technical roles in the hospitality industry. This program integrates both theoretical knowledge and hands-on training in the core areas of hotel and restaurant operations, including planning, development, human resource management, and service excellence.

Students will gain practical competencies in food production, front office operations, housekeeping, bartending, customer service, and events management. The curriculum is aligned with industry standards to ensure graduates are workforce-ready and capable of meeting global hospitality demands.

This program equips learners with communication and leadership skills, ethical work practices, and the ability to use modern hospitality technology. Graduates will be prepared to take on roles in hotels, resorts, restaurants, cruise ships, and other food and hospitality establishments.

Program Objectives

Upon completion of the program, graduates are expected to:

  • Manage and organize hotel and restaurant operations and events effectively.
  • Demonstrate technical and practical skills in various departments of the hospitality industry.
  • Apply ethical standards and professional practices in all aspects of hotel and restaurant management.
  • Communicate proficiently in English and other foreign languages used in the industry.
  • Pursue careers as competent hospitality professionals, entrepreneurs, or skilled workers locally and abroad.
  • Utilize up-to-date technology and industry tools in delivering quality customer service.
